All race numbers and related products were developed by Wally Egger, an avid runner and race organizer. He has designed and directed finish lines for events ranging from local cross country meets to mega-races. In 1982, he founded Rainbow Racing System®, Inc. and began producing race numbers and supplies with the needs of the race director and finish line scoring team in mind. Rainbow Racing System®'s innovative products have helped thousands run a more efficient race.

Custom printed orders all receive a guaranteed delivery date. We supply over 10,000 events per year and have never missed a race deadline.

At this time we only offer our generic numbers and products to be purchased online, though all of our products are available for viewing online. Custom numbers are only available for order through telephone because we have such a wide variety of options for you to choose from.

A pull tag is a section below the main part of a racing number that is perforated for tear off containing information or tickets for runners. Rainbow offers 11 standard pull tags for all quick print and full options bibs. All pull tags measure approximately 7 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" high and normally have a 1/2" spindle hole and re-number that matches the large race number. Double tags have a down cut separating them. Ordering online is very simple. Just go to our online catalog and choose the items you would like to purchase. Add items to your cart, fill out all the information at the check out stage, review your order, and an invoice will be emailed to you confirming your order. Shipping is primarily calculated by the weight of the product, your location and the shipping time you choose. There are a few items that have restrictions and additional charges. More information, including our current shipping tables, charges and restrictions, can be viewed on our shipping information page.

There are two products in our online catalog that can only be shipped by ground. Spray chalk and spray paint. These items are Classified ORM-D (aerosol) and can not be transported by air. If you have these two items in your cart, ground shipping is the only option you will have. More information can be found here.

We have our checkout system set up so that your product gets to you in the time frame you need. However, due to fulfillment time and shipping times, it may not be possible to do this online. If you need your product to arrive before the time allocated in our checkout form, please call us A.S.A.P. and we will do our best to get your product to you by the date you need it. Rush charge may apply.
