Each sheet has 5 columns. Each column represents a minute. Each minute column is numbered 0-60, representing seconds.

Using a stopwatch, finish times are recorded for each finisher by placing a check mark next to the second in the proper minutes column.

(use #2 pencil in even the worst
of conditions).

Utilizing the finish clock or stopwatch, finish officials try to record as many runners’ numbers and times as possible. In results processing, this information as used as to compare against timing machine times and overall scoring and placement.
